Hey everyone,
Exciting news for all the "Mission: Impossible" fans out there! The title for Tom Cruise’s eighth film in the franchise has just dropped, and the first trailer is already making waves.
The official title? The Final Reckoning. Originally, it was supposed to be “Part Two” of last year’s Dead Reckoning, but now it has its own standalone name. Mark your calendars—it’s set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025. Fun fact: this movie was initially planned for a 2022 release, but, thanks to the pandemic and the recent actors' strike, it faced multiple delays.
Tom Cruise himself revealed the title and a new poster, captioning it with, “Every choice has led to this.” Classic Cruise, right?
In the trailer, we get to see some jaw-dropping stunts: Cruise is scuba diving around a wrecked submarine, flying (and free-falling) out of a biplane, and, of course, doing a LOT of running. Plus, Angela Bassett is back as CIA Director Erika Sloane, reprising her role from Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
So, what do you think? Are you excited to see Cruise back in action? And what do you make of the title The Final Reckoning—could this really be the end for Ethan Hunt? Let’s hear your thoughts!
